A highly regarded secondary school in Hackney, London is seeking a passionate and creative Maths Teacher to join its creative and popular Mathematics Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to become part of a school known for its commitment to academic achievement, a strong sense of community and a focus on the development of both students and staff.

Please note, a TLR is available for a suitably qualified Maths Teacher to assume the role of KS3/4 Maths Co‑ordinator.

The Role
  • Deliver inspiring and engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, helping students develop a deep understanding and appreciation of the subject.
  • Use creative and innovative teaching methods to engage students.
  • Collaborate with the Maths Department to ensure the curriculum is delivered effectively and enriches students’ learning experience.
  • Take on additional responsibilities, such as curriculum planning or mentoring, with the potential for TLR opportunities for those with the relevant experience.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven ability to deliver high‑quality teaching that results in excellent student outcomes.
  • A degree in Maths or a related subject (2:1 or higher preferred).
  • A passion for Maths and the ability to inspire students to excel in reading, writing and critical thinking.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience or a desire to take on additional responsibilities, with leadership potential.
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and a drive to contribute to the overall success of the department.
