SENCO - Secondary School 0 Bexley

Full-time September start Long-term role with potential to extend

We are actively recruiting for an experienced SENCO on behalf of a secondary school in the Bexley area
. This is a permanent role starting ASAP.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team
, taking strategic responsibility for the development and implementation of SEND provision across the school. This is a key leadership role, supporting pupils with SEND and vulnerable learners to achieve positive academic and pastoral outcomes.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic development of the school's SEND policy and provision
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of SEND support across KS3 and KS4
  • Coordinate provision for pupils with SEND and other vulnerable learners
  • Provide professional guidance to teaching staff and support colleagues with inclusive practice
  • Work closely with parents, external agencies, and other professionals
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to whole-school improvement
  • Fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher in line with the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document
