Role Overview

As a Senior LSA in our SEND department, you will support the learning of individual students and small groups in class and oversee learning across specific activities under the guidance of a Teacher. You will also lead small group withdrawal interventions such as Catch‑up literacy, Catch‑up Numeracy, ELSA, Nurture or EBSA, developing schemes of learning and methods of assessment to demonstrate progress that meet the needs of students.

Qualifications

and Experience

You will need to have experience of working with SEND students and those with an EHCP and be aware of best practice in teaching less able learners and those with specific learning needs.

  • Experience or qualifications in autism
  • Experience or qualifications in dyslexia
  • Experience or qualifications in EBSA
  • Experience or qualifications in numeracy support programmes
  • Experience or qualifications in literacy support programmes
Skills

It is essential that you have good literacy and numeracy skills (Math's and English qualification to Level
2).

Hours

35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
