Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Pay: £95 – £105 per day
Exciting Opportunity at a Specialist SEN College in Lambeth
We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a forward-thinking specialist SEN College in Lambeth. The college supports learners aged 16–19+ with a range of additional needs, including Autism, PMLD, complex needs, and communication difficulties.
With the recent opening of a brand-new site, the college is entering a dynamic phase of growth and development. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an expanding provision that is committed to empowering young people to achieve their goals and develop essential skills for adulthood.
This is a full-time, long-term position with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored in-class support to enable students to access personalised learning programmes.
* Foster positive and trusting relationships that promote independence, confidence, and life skills development.
* Support students with personal care, mobility, and emotional regulation where required.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams to ensure a consistent and nurturing learning environment.
* Implement effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies where necessary.
About You
* Previous experience supporting young people with SEN (Autism, PMLD, or complex needs desirable).
* Calm, patient, and resilient with a proactive mindset.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
