Food Technology Teacher (Secondary)

Teach Now is delighted to be working with a thriving and ambitious secondary school in Harrow to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join the Design & Technology department from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher who is passionate about food education, practical learning, and supporting students to develop confidence and creativity in the subject.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Food Technology lessons that inspire confidence and creativity
• Teach across the full age and ability range, ensuring strong progress for all students
• Deliver safe, well-organised practical lessons in line with health and safety requirements
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress in accordance with school policies
• Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum and enrichment activities
• Establish a positive learning environment with high expectations of behaviour and engagement
• Engage fully with induction and ongoing professional development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Hold (or be working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Be a Food Technology or Design & Technology specialist, or have a strong related background
• Be enthusiastic, reflective and committed to high standards
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
• Have high expectations of all learners and a passion for inclusive education
• Be willing to contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary of £56,154 is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to M6.
