Thomas Tallis is a flourishing and popular school situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We currently have over 2000 pupils on the school roll with around 800 students in our highly competitive sixth form. We strive for excellence in all that we do underpinned by our vision of education to understand the world and change it for the better.
We wish to appoint a highly organised and professional Administration Assistant to support our Inclusion Department, working closely with the SENDCo. This is a key role within the school, ensuring that students with SEND and their families receive efficient, responsive and high-quality administrative support.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating Annual Review meetings, maintaining accurate student records, liaising with parents, external agencies and the Local Authority, and supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the SEND department. The role requires excellent organisational skills, discretion, flexibility and the ability to manage a varied and sometimes demanding workload.
Qualifications- a good standard of education including GCSE Maths and English (A*–C or equivalent)
- excellent organisational and time management skills
- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with staff, parents and external agencies
- confidence in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to draft correspondence independently
- the ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure
- a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
- a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Experience of working within a school environment and knowledge of Bromcom would be advantageous but are not essential.
