Position Details

Job Title: Design & Food Tech Teacher

Location: Baston House School, Bromley, Kent, BR2 7AB

Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum, dependent on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.30pm

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

Start: March 2026

You’ll Be Doing
  • Deliver practical, engaging, and inspiring lessons that bring Design & Food Technology to life.
  • Develop creative resources and activities tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to enhance learning.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and share ideas within the team.
  • Promote Baston House as a hub of creativity, professionalism, and care.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching autistic or SEN pupils (highly desirable).
  • Creative, adaptable, and passionate about inspiring young people.
  • Collaborative, supportive, and committed to fostering an inclusive school environment.
  • Dedicated to helping pupils achieve their full potential.
