SEMH Teaching Assistant – Tower Hamlets – £90 to £115 Daily Rate – Full Time – Immediate Start – Primary / Secondary School

A full-time opportunity has become available for a resilient and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Tower Hamlets. This long-term position is available for an immediate start and offers a competitive daily rate of £90 to £115, depending on experience.

The Role – SEMH Teaching Assistant

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support. You will provide 1:1 and small group interventions, help implement behaviour support plans, and use de-escalation strategies to maintain a safe and structured learning environment.

The role requires patience, resilience, and strong communication skills. You will support pupils in regulating their emotions, developing coping strategies, and engaging positively in lessons. Experience working with pupils with additional needs such as ADHD, ASD, or trauma-related behaviours is highly desirable.
