Soulbury Advisor Scale 20-23 (including SPA points) - Salary: £67,439 – £71,326 (plus £3,685 inner London weighting)

AboutThe Role
In this role you will lead the delivery of Haringey’s SEND strategy, driving high quality, inclusive practice across early years settings, schools and other educational providers. You will oversee SEND school improvement, ensuring settings have the guidance, specialist input, and tools needed to strengthen provision and accelerate progress for children and young people with SEND.
- Work closely with senior leaders to promote high standards of attainment and inclusion, using data, research and national developments to shape practice and strategic planning.
- Build strong and effective partnerships with schools, families, and multi‑agency professionals to monitor, challenge, and support SEND provision across the borough.
- Lead and coordinate specialist teaching teams to champion early intervention and inclusion, ensuring children with a wide range of needs receive timely, targeted support.
- Contribute specialist advice, training and capacity‑building activity to professionals and parents, promoting consistent, evidence‑informed approaches to improving outcomes.
You’ll be joining Haringey’s dedicated Integrated SEND Service – a collaborative, supportive group of specialists committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND. The team brings together experienced professionals across early intervention, inclusion, sensory support, educational psychology and SEND advisory services, working closely with schools, settings, families and multi‑agency partners.
About YouExperience & qualifications: you are an experienced and qualified SEND professional with QTS, a postgraduate SEN qualification, a SENCO qualification, and a strong track record of ongoing professional development.
- Substantial experience teaching children with SEND and successfully leading teams.
- Deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, relevant legislation, safeguarding and principles of effective inclusive practice.
- Confidence interpreting data, managing resources and budgets, and working collaboratively with senior school leaders and multi‑agency partners across education, health and social care.
- Skilled communicator and trainer, able to influence, challenge and support a range of audiences while maintaining clarity and credibility.
- Capability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, working flexibly under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build trusting relationships with families and professionals, and a strong commitment to early intervention and inclusion.
