About the Role:
Harris Academy Rainham is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Religious Education to join our vibrant team. As a key member of the department, you will deliver high-quality RE lessons to students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. Your role will involve planning, teaching, and assessing RE across a range of year groups, fostering an environment that encourages critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and a deep understanding of diverse religious beliefs.
MPS/UPS (Outer London) + 1,500 Harris Allowance
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver engaging and dynamic RE lessons to students from Year 7 through to Year 13.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
- Support students in developing their understanding of various world religions and philosophical perspectives.
- Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and support their academic development.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and school events.
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to inspiring students and sharing the value of Religious Education in a modern, diverse society.
- A strong subject knowledge in RE and the ability to teach across all key stages.
- A passion for promoting discussion, inquiry, and critical thinking.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and colleagues.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated team.
