Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and student‑focused Inclusion Support Practitioner to join a supportive school environment to work 1:1 with a pupil at risk of exclusion. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs, barriers to learning, or social/emotional challenges, who has a passion for creating inclusive, empowering learning experiences.

As an Inclusion Support Practitioner, you will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to provide tailored support that helps the pupil to feel understood, confident, and ready to learn.

In this rewarding role, you will:

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND, SEMH needs, or other learning barriers. You may also work with small groups and other pupils when necessary.
• Implement personalised strategies to help pupils engage with the curriculum
• Support emotional regulation, wellbeing, and positive behaviour
• Work alongside the SENCO and class teachers to deliver inclusive learning interventions
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to boost confidence and resilience
• Assist in creating accessible classroom environments that meet diverse needs
• Monitor and record pupil progress, supporting targeted intervention plans
• Contribute to a positive, welcoming, and inclusive school culture

• Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH, or inclusion needs
• Brings a calm, nurturing, and patient approach
• Is confident using strategies to support behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Works well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusive practice
• Holds a DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)

Qualifications in Psychology, Child Development, Counselling, Youth Work, Teaching Assistance, or similar areas are highly desirable but not essential.
