MR PORTER are now seeking a talented
** Assistant Menswear Garment Technologist
** to join Mr Porters Private label Mr P. The role will support the technical team in the day-to-day activities of producing a collection from development to production. The role will work closely within a small team of Techs, Product developers, Designers and Merchandisers.

This role will be suited to a Fashion graduate or garment technologist with 1-2 years’ experience. They will need to have basic to mid-level knowledge of garment construction and fit to support a busy technical team across wovens, knit/ jersey and accessories. The role requires someone who is organised, proactive and a willing to learn. Some of the essentials for you to know are:

** Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
*** Support the technical team in collating certification in line with the YNAP Infinity Code and managing communication/data sharing with the wider team.
* Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to chase samples, track development progress, and maintain/update tech and CP trackers.
* Prepare development samples for fit meetings (measuring, inspecting, pre-notes), attend fit sessions, take notes, and update fit trackers and tech packs post-review.
* Maintain and update specification templates following seasonal reviews.
* Support production sample approvals, liaise comments with suppliers, and provide ad hoc QC support.
* Organise shipment samples for shoots and warehouse, manage sample archiving, track movements, and coordinate parcels to suppliers.
* Monitor in-season customer returns with the wider team to identify root causes and implement improvements; support care guidance for Digital  manage technical supply orders (e.g., pins, tape).

*** A fashion graduate with an interest in garment fit and construction
* Has basic Pattern Making Skills
* Works well in a demanding and fast moving environment
* Is a team player and is also self-motivated
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* The ability to support a constantly changing work load and be flexible
* Computer literate with good Microsoft office skills
