We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Performance Manager to help scale our growing advertising business. The Performance Manager is a key member of the Advertising Team, working with sales, product, and other business partners to analyse and improve advertisers’ performance on Tik Tok, in support of their marketing initiatives. They will translate our unique data into high‑quality, actionable insights and recommendations that improve the effectiveness of advertiser campaigns and unlock business opportunities.
Day‑to‑day activities include analysing metrics of success for a business or category, developing data‑driven insights and recommendations for C‑suite client leadership, and communicating recommendations in a clear and compelling fashion.
- Driving media strategy, planning, and implementation of campaigns to deliver against clients' business goals
- Supporting and working with the sales team on pre‑sale research and pitch
- Educating other teams on Tik Tok for Business offerings and keeping them engaged by delivering learning sessions, writing training documentation, and whitepapers for internal and external use
- Outlining and overseeing measurement strategy, tracking, and results delivery
- Increasing adoption and engagement of Tik Tok’s auction platform and auction‑based tools, providing ongoing technical support and real‑time analysis
- Managing and growing post‑sale client relationships with advertisers of all sizes
- Presenting findings and insights in a consultative way to the client and collaborating with the relevant internal teams to provide a complete solution
- Monitoring and analysing ad campaigns to identify optimisation opportunities for improving and scaling performance
- Investigating and working directly with product & engineering teams to troubleshoot client issues on the platform
- Analysing campaign performance data to offer clients data‑driven business insights and using those insights to improve our advertising offerings
- Sharing marketplace feedback and guiding our advertising strategy
- Conducting regular business reviews and taking a consultative, long‑term approach to build productive relationships with clients, in collaboration with the sales team
- Demonstrating deep analytical ability and developing great expertise in Tik Tok’s proprietary metrics, constantly evolving how we analyse and communicate data‑driven insights to our advertisers
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in account management/performance in digital marketing
- Tangible experience executing on a biddable network
- Knowledge and understanding of tracking, attribution and measurement (Pixel, Events API, CAPI, MMP, SKAN, etc.)
- Experience managing brand advertisers with a deep understanding of their challenges across full‑funnel objectives
- Ability to analyse data and identify insights to assess campaign performance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Results‑oriented with high attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proactive attitude with excellent project management, organisational, and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to translate technical language to non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience diagnosing and solving technical problems with product and engineering teams
- Experience using Excel or Google Sheets (essential) and familiarity with visualisation tools (Tableau, Qlik View, Power BI, etc.) a plus
