Are you a committed and skilled educator with a passion for innovation, creativity and driving meaningful change in the fashion industry? London College of Fashion is seeking an experienced Senior Lecturer to play a key role in leading and developing the BA Hons Fashion Styling and Production course within the School of Media and Communication.

This course offers students a supportive and dynamic environment in which to explore fashion styling and production through experimental practice, critical debate and the development of advanced technical and research skills. Students are encouraged to engage in co-creation and socially engaged actions that realise positive change through creative practice, positioning styling as a powerful form of storytelling.

This is a pivotal role in nurturing students to become critical and responsible fashion image makers, encouraging them to explore themes such as identity, community, representation, and sustainability within a contemporary fashion context. To achieve this, you will contribute to teaching, learning and scholarly activity aligned with your areas of expertise and the subject areas of the course, programme and College.

Working as part of a collaborative course team, you will bring specialist knowledge that will supports the development of an innovative and engaging curriculum, ensuring that emerging ideas, practices and debates are reflected within the course. You will also help to challenge established narratives within fashion, promoting diversity, inclusion and new ways of thinking through both theory and practice.

A postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject at Master’s or PhD level, along with a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCert, is desirable but not essential.

You will also demonstrate evidence of extensive teaching, knowledge exchange and professional practice that contributes to the advancement of relevant activity and is relevant to the goals of the Programme, College and University.
