Join Our Team as an SEN Teaching Assistant!
Education World is working with a junior school in Redbridge that provides an exceptional and highly personalised education for children with complex SEN needs. We’re looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a warm, supportive school community.
What You’ll Do
Support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, communication difficulties and other forms of neurodivergence.
Mornings: work in a personalised learning provision, supporting pupils from engagement model level up to early KS1.
Afternoons: deliver 1:1 and small-group support in class or specialist SEN groups.
Lead and assist with activities such as sensory circuits, communication interventions (PECS, Colourful Semantics, Intensive Interaction, Bucket Time) and other tailored strategies.
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide the best outcomes for pupils.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience supporting children with autism or complex SEN (desirable).
Psychology, Education or related graduates who are confident and quick learners are very welcome to apply.
A patient, adaptable, and positive approach to working with children.
Commitment to Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:45pm.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
