A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Enfield is seeking a confident and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team, providing 1:1 support for a young child with Type 1 Diabetes In YR5

• Provide 1:1 support for a child YR5 with Type 1 Diabetes, including monitoring blood glucose levels and supporting insulin administration.
• Help the child participate in daily activities and routines, ensuring they are safe, engaged, and happy in the nursery environment.
• Be an integral part of the YR5 team, contributing to the daily running of the class and supporting other pupils as needed.
• Utilise strong behaviour management and maintain a calm, proactive and reassuring approach when working with young children.

• Experience working in a primary school or care setting
• Strong behaviour management skills and confidence working in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Medical confidence - you do not need specific diabetes training, but you must be comfortable with learning and implementing medical care plans
• A calm, nurturing and reliable attitude

• Previous experience supporting children with Type 1 Diabetes
• First aid or medical training
