As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are seeking an exceptional Lead Practitioner of Economics & Business to drive outstanding teaching and learning across the school while leading the strategic development of a successful and growing department.
The Role- Lead and develop the Economics and Business curriculum across KS4 and KS5
- Drive excellent teaching and learning within the department and across the school
- Coach, mentor and support colleagues, including ECTs and new staff
- Use data effectively to raise attainment and close gaps
- Monitor and improve classroom practice through observation and professional dialogue
- Contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities
- QTS and a degree in Economics or Business (or related subject)
- A proven record of excellent classroom practice
- Experience of departmental leadership
- Strong curriculum and assessment knowledge
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- Willingness to support the school’s Catholic ethos (all faiths welcome)
