Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Abbey Wood to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant
. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with SEND across Key Stages 3 and 4, both in and out of the classroom
- Work with pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students access the curriculum
- Assist teachers in implementing EHCP targets and tailored support strategies
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEND (school experience desirable)
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to making a positive impact on students’ learning and wellbeing
- Relevant SEND qualifications or training are beneficial but not essential
