Higher Level Teaching Assistant
• Full-Time Cover & Training Primary School

• Start Date: After half term - February 2026
• Duration: Interim cover while they appoint permanently
• Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week
• Pay: Competetive pay in line with the appropriate HLTA pay scale (via agency)

An experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant is required to work across the school, covering classes during PPA time, leadership release and staff absence. This is a varied role supporting teaching and learning across all primary year groups.

The successful candidate will be adaptable, proactive and comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining positive behaviour and ensuring continuity of learning.

• Provide whole-class cover across the primary age range.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities.
• Support pupils individually and in small groups as required.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
• Have recent experience working in a primary school setting.
• Be confident managing a classroom independently.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a professional approach.
• Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.

• Long-term, full-time placement with potential extension.
