Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Reigate - Social Care - SEMH - Graduate - Psychology - Criminology

A well‑respected specialist school near Reigate is looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The students range between 10 and 16 years old, and face a range of social, emotional and mental health needs, and challenges including trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioural issues. The students therefore need a Mental Health Teaching Assistant who will be dedicated to being a consistent role model, is committed to building strong relationships, is empathetic and up for a challenge!

The ideal candidate must be open‑minded, resilient, and knowledgeable about mental health. The perfect candidate will have experience with SEN children and/or adults in any setting. Graduates in Psychology, Criminology or Counselling would also be perfect for this position. Reigate based.

Key Details
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Salary: £89‑£109 per day, Mon‑Fri, 8.30am‑4pm, PAYE, term time only
  • Training: Excellent on‑site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
  • Right to work: Must have right to work in the UK – no visa sponsorship
  • Location: Must be able to travel to Reigate and surrounding areas
