We are working with a fantastic, well-established FE college seeking a passionate and dedicated ESOL Lecturer to deliver high-quality English for Speakers of Other Languages provision to college learners from diverse backgrounds.

• Plan and deliver engaging ESOL lessons across a range of levels
• Conduct initial assessments and monitor learner progress
• Prepare schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum requirements
• Support learners in developing English language, literacy and communication skills
• Maintain accurate registers and learner records
• Contribute to quality assurance and curriculum development
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times

Please note:

duties may vary slightly and will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.

• Experience teaching ESOL within Further Education or Adult Learning
• Desirable Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) or Relevant ESOL / English qualification
• Strong understanding of ESOL assessment frameworks
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to learner achievement and safeguarding best practice
• Enhanced DBS on update service
