About the role

As an Ad Operations Executive, you will be an experienced and highly motivated individual keen to develop a career in the digital industry. You will join the Ad Operations team and work closely with internal stakeholders to manage ad campaigns across our portfolio of websites, including Top Gear, Good Food, Delicious, Radio Times, Gardeners’ World, and Olive.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Sales Planners to ensure campaigns go live promptly and monitor any campaigns that may be delayed.
  • Manage campaigns to maximise both revenue and performance.
  • Liaise with Sales Planners on all campaign-related issues.
  • Liaise closely with our licensed ad server on all technical issues and updates.
  • Work with the Ad Operations team, conduct technical troubleshooting and resolve any identified issues.
  • Monitor campaign performance through Google Ad Manager (GAM) and optimise campaigns to improve effectiveness and audience reach.
  • Demonstrate acute attention to detail and the ability to traffic campaigns error‑free.
Qualifications
  • Experience using Google Ad Manager (GAM).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of managing digital ad campaigns and tracking performance.
  • Relevant experience and understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively and monitoring progress.
  • Ability to consider the “big picture” and overall delivery schedule before accepting additional tasks.
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to work to agreed deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • A systematic approach to gathering information in order to identify root causes of problems.
  • Ability to keep up to date with technical and functional developments within the business.
  • Willingness to attend all necessary training to remain up to date with job requirements.
  • Proven track record of working with Sales Planners to set up and launch online campaigns.
