We are seeking a qualified and committed Adjunct Lecturer to teach Level 4 Accounting and Business modules to Chinese international students. The lecturer will be responsible for effective delivery of lessons, student engagement, and assessment support in accordance with awarding body and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Level 4 Accounting and Business modules according to the approved syllabus and scheme of work
- Teach and explain academic concepts clearly to students whose first language may not be English
- Conduct face to face classes (and online sessions where applicable)
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning activities
- Guide students through assignments, assessments, and examination preparation
- Mark assessments and provide constructive academic feedback within stipulated timelines
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment records, and academic documentation
- Ensure compliance with awarding body requirements (e.g. OTHM) and institutional policies
- Support students’ academic progression and learning outcomes
- Work closely with the academic and admin teams to ensure smooth course delivery
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related discipline (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching or relevant industry experience
- Prior experience teaching diploma or higher education programmes is an advantage
- Familiarity with UK awarding body programmes (e.g. OTHM) is an added advantage
- Strong presentation, classroom management, and student engagement skills
- Patient, approachable, and culturally sensitive teaching style
- Basic IT skills and ability to use LMS or online teaching platforms
- Part time / Adjunct basis
- Remuneration:
Competitive, based on qualifications and teaching experience - Teaching schedule:
Weekday evenings and or weekends (subject to class timetable)
