Pastoral Managers

Overview

Pastoral Managers enable students in their care to develop personal excellence and pride in both year group and the school. They play an important part in creating a positive ethos and fostering productive home‑school links. Responsible for maintaining high standards of attendance, behaviour and ensuring that students comply with the Behaviour for Learning Policy. The successful candidate will work with a specified year group, progressing through Year 7 to Year 11, and collaborate with dynamic, energetic professionals.

• Develop personal excellence and sense of pride among students.

• Ensure students comply with the Behaviour for Learning Policy.
• Progress the cohort from Year 7 to Year 11, working closely with the support staff team.

Alperton Community School is a mix 11‑18 academy with over 350 students in the Sixth Form. A recent Ofsted inspection (July 2021) graded the school Good, with inspectors noting pupils enjoy their lessons, feel safe and maintain high behaviour. GCSE and A Level outcomes consistently exceed national averages, with a Progress 8 score of 0.82. Awards include the 2022 Pearson Making a Difference Award and the TES Maths Team of the Year.
