Geography ECT
A forward‑thinking secondary school in Havering is seeking a Geography ECT to join their Humanities team from September.
This is a strong opportunity for an Early Career Teacher who wants a proper grounding in the classroom, not a sink‑or‑swim experience dressed up as “resilience building”.
The role- Teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4
- Access to a structured ECT induction programme with experienced mentors
- Schemes of work already in place, with room to develop your own practice
- Supportive leadership team that actually understands workload
- Well‑led, stable secondary with a calm, purposeful culture
- Clear behaviour systems that staff are expected to follow consistently
- Humanities is a settled department with strong collaboration
- Holds (or is on track to hold) QTS
- Passionate about Geography and confident delivering engaging lessons
- Keen to develop classroom practice with support, feedback, and CPD
- Looking for a school that will invest in them long‑term
- MPS 1
- Full ECT support across both years
- September start with interviews taking place now
