Working under the direction of the Headteacher, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning, ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality, inclusive education. This role is ideal for someone who is confident delivering planned lessons in PE and other subjects, supporting children with a range of needs, and committed to fostering a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Higher‑Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact especially in PE? Chestnut Park is seeking a dedicated and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning of PE across the school as well as in other subject areas, helping to shape the educational experience of our wonderful pupils.

  • Hold relevant qualifications, including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and an HLTA qualification.
  • Have experience in delivering PE lessons to whole classes and supporting learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Have experience in supporting and delivering whole class teaching in other curriculum areas.
  • Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records, and contributing to classroom planning.
  • Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children, and parents.
  • Be motivated, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.
