Role DescriptionWe are seeking 4 enthusiastic and reliable Primary School Sports Coaches to deliver high-quality sports and physical activity sessions for primary-aged children in an after school role in Enfield. The successful candidate will inspire pupils to enjoy sport, develop skills, and build confidence in a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver structured, fun, and inclusive sports sessions for primary school pupils
- Support pupils of varying abilities and encourage participation from all children
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management in line with school policies
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils during sessions
- Communicate effectively with school staff and colleagues
- Set up and pack away equipment as required
- Act as a positive role model at all times
- Experience working in primary school settings
- DBS Check
- First Aid Qualified
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage young children positively
- Relevant qualifications in sports coaching (e.g. sports coaching certificates, PE-related qualifications)
- A passion for working with children and promoting physical activity
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach
- Ability to commit to the stated hours (3.00pm – 6.00pm, 5 days per week)
- Experience delivering extracurricular or after-school sports clubs
- Knowledge of the primary PE curriculum
- Experience working with children of different abilities and needs
- Full training will be provided
- Ongoing support and development opportunities available
- This role involves working with children and will be subject to appropriate safeguarding checks in line with statutory requirements.
