A well-established secondary academy in Camberwell is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Partner to support scholars with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), or graduate looking to build a career in education and make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment.

The Role
As a Teaching Partner, you will work closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to support pupils in class, in small groups, and on a 1:1 basis.
Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting pupils with SEND to make excellent academic progress

* Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

* Promoting inclusion and positive behaviour

* Assisting with whole-class teaching and curriculum delivery

* Supporting pupils with additional needs including SEN, EAL, speech and language needs, and behavioural challenges

* Monitoring and recording pupil progress

* Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom
You will play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above, or equivalent)

* A degree-level qualification

* Experience working with children (secondary school-based experience desirable)

* Experience supporting children with SEN (highly desirable)

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* A calm, patient and positive approach

* The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
A Teaching Assistant qualification or First Aid certificate would be beneficial but is not essential.
