Salary will be paid at M1 on the Main Pay Scale, suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) starting or completing their induction.
About the RoleTeach-Now is recruiting an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (Science) for a welcoming secondary school in Brent, North West London. This full‑time position begins in September 2026 and is an excellent opportunity for an ECT looking to develop their teaching career within a supportive and collaborative department.
You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics while helping students develop curiosity, analytical thinking and practical investigation skills. The role offers a structured ECT induction programme, with mentoring, coaching and professional development to support your growth as a teacher.
The school has modern science laboratories, strong behaviour expectations and a focus on helping students achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students in developing scientific understanding and enquiry skills
- Use assessment to track progress and support student achievement
- Deliver safe and effective practical investigations
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and participation
- Contribute to the wider Science department and school community
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be completing your teacher training
- A degree in a Science‑related subject
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
- Passion for inspiring young people in science
