Location: Greater London
To work 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Permanent.
Job OverviewThe main responsibility of the role is to provide tailored and group support to pupils with Special Education Needs, helping them to fully access the curriculum.
The role of an LSA also includes working under guidance of teaching staff, implementing work programmes to individuals/groups this could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas, assisting in whole planning cycle and management/preparation of resources and providing cover for whole classes for short periods under an agreed system of supervision.
Responsibilities & Qualifications- Have experience and expertise in providing support to children with complex needs.
- Show initiative, provide intervention, promote independent learning, and work successfully as part of a team.
- Have knowledge of the KS1 / KS2 curriculum.
- Have high expectations of all children for learning and behaviour.
- Be able to manage time effectively and balance different priorities.
- We welcome applications from experienced LSA's. ELSA training would be an advantage.
