Location: Greater London

PK Education are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Worker to work within an independent Alternative Provision in Northumberland. This setting provides tailored interventions and personalised support to pupils who may struggle to thrive in mainstream education.

About the Role:
  • Provide specialist behavioural support to pupils in 1:1 and small group settings
  • Support pupils through engaging projects and personalised programmes aimed at building confidence, resilience and positive outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals to ensure the best support for each young person
  • Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where every young person feels valued
We are looking for individuals who:
  • Hold a Diploma in Youth & Community Work or a Degree in a relevant field such as Education, Psychology, Youth Work, Sports, Criminology or Social Work
  • Have experience supporting young people with SEMH, ADHD, challenging behaviour, or attachment and trauma‑related needs
  • Take a child‑centred and proactive approach, adapting strategies to meet individual needs
  • Are reflective, open to guidance and able to work effectively within a team
  • Are flexible, resilient and committed to helping young people re‑engage with education and personal development
  • Ideally hold Team Teach (or equivalent de‑escalation training) or are willing to complete the training
  • Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one
