The Position

As a Social Sciences Teacher, you will be instrumental in delivering engaging and insightful lessons across a range of social science disciplines, including Sociology, Psychology, and possibly others. You will play a pivotal role in fostering students' critical thinking skills, analytical abilities, and understanding of the complex social dynamics that shape our world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement captivating lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and cater to a range of learning styles.
  • Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, intellectual curiosity, and respectful debate.
  • Assess student progress through diverse assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences department and across the school to create a cohesive and enriching learning experience for students.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Sciences, or a relevant subject area.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Social Sciences at the secondary level.
  • A passion for social science disciplines and a commitment to fostering students' intellectual and personal development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
