KS2 Class Teacher – SEN School-August Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated KS2 Class Teacher to join a nurturing independent SEN school in Hackney. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

This is an ideal opportunity for a creative and compassionate teacher who is committed to inclusive education and making a meaningful difference to young people’s lives.

The Role
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for KS2 pupils with SEND
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams
  • Develop personalised learning approaches to meet individual EHCP targets
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals
  • Promote pupils’ confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
  • Experience teaching within KS2
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND, particularly ASC and SEMH
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building skills
  • A patient, flexible, and resilient approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
