The Educational Development Unit (EDU) at Imperial College London is seeking to appoint a new Teaching Fellow in Educational Development, based at the South Kensington campus. The postholder will work as part of a small team of experienced staff who work collaboratively to support and enhance learning, teaching and educational development across Imperial. This is an exciting opportunity to work at an institution with an excellent international reputation that consistently achieves high national and international rankings.
Whatyou would be doing
You will contribute to the delivery of the EDU’s institutional provision, taking responsibility for a selection of standalone workshops and participating in the development and delivery of the unit’s academic programmes and the Imperial STAR Framework. You will contribute to general educational development work in support of Imperial’s academic and education strategies and initiatives and, while the EDU is not an education research unit, its staff are encouraged to engage in scholarly activity.
Whatwe are looking for
- Recent experience as an educational developer and/or trainer in a university or similar environment and be knowledgeable about higher education.
- A confident communicator who can engage effectively with a wide range of Imperial staff, including academics, senior managerial staff and others involved in supporting learning and teaching.
- Experience of working in a STEMMB (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, medicine or business) context would be desirable.
