The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) partners with schools, professional services and sector organisations to enhance teaching, learning and assessment across the University. CELT supports curriculum transformation, inclusive educational practice and digital education through the use of emerging technologies.

About the Job

We are seeking a learning technology professional to join CELT as a Learning Technology Advisor, providing professional support and guidance for learning technology across the University.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted training and front line assistance to academic and professional staff to support integration of core TEL systems and digital education.
  • Contribute to technology enhanced learning initiatives and projects that support curriculum innovation and digital education.
  • Provide advice on the pedagogically effective use of learning technologies, including the virtual learning environment, generative AI tools, collaboration tools and emerging technologies.
  • Work closely with Schools, CELT colleagues and IT Services to support implementation and development of learning technologies.
  • Contribute to planning, evaluation and continuous improvement relating to digital education and learning technology.
About You
  • Experience designing, implementing and supporting technology enhanced learning within higher education or a comparable environment.
  • Understanding of how digital tools and platforms can support effective, inclusive and engaging approaches to teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Confidence working with academic colleagues, professional services teams and stakeholders, providing expert advice and translating pedagogic needs into effective digital solutions.
  • Experience working on projects or initiatives related to digital education and supporting colleagues to develop their digital teaching practice.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and accessible education and to supporting innovation in a diverse higher education environment.
Benefits Package

Grade F post with a salary range of £46, inclusive of London weighting.
