Role Overview

This Autism Support Assistant role is ideal for a top graduate who is proactive, resilient and genuinely committed to supporting pupils with ASC.

The school currently has 55 pupils on roll, seven classes and class sizes typically ranging from 7-10 pupils, giving you strong exposure to personalised support and specialist practice.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with communication, regulation, independence, social interaction and access to an adapted National Curriculum.
All pupils have a diagnosis of Autism and an EHCP, so the successful Autism Support Assistant must be calm, consistent and confident following individual support plans.
The school reports that pupils make good to outstanding progress when starting points are considered, with some pupils reaching age‑related expectations by the end of key stages.

Qualifications & Requirements

A strong degree from a reputable university
Clear interest in Autism, SEND, psychology, therapy or child development
