HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) – Hillingdon– September Start

We are seeking dedicated and experienced HLTA professionals to join welcoming schools across West London for the new academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled HLTA looking to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, leading small group interventions, and delivering high‑quality classroom support. The successful HLTA will work closely with teachers to raise attainment, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils reach their full potential.

As an HLTA, you will:

• Lead small group and one‑to‑one interventions.
• Support the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Provide classroom cover when required.
• Assist with pupil progress monitoring and feedback.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.

The ideal HLTA will have:

• Previous experience working as an HLTA or an experienced Teaching Assistant, ready to step up.
• HLTA status, Level 4 qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A good understanding of the UK curriculum.
• A passion for supporting children's academic and personal development.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or a willingness to obtain one through GSL Education.
