About the role

This role is based at Deans field Primary School. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and committed guitar teacher. The school offers weekly class music lessons with our experienced Music Lead and allows pupils in Years 1 to 6 to choose an instrument with visiting music tutors. The guitar teacher will be responsible for leading, developing, and delivering a comprehensive guitar programme.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop and deliver an engaging and inclusive guitar programme for pupils in Years 2‑6, including classical, electric and acoustic guitar.
  • Have a positive impact on pupils’ musical achievement, confidence and participation in music‑making.
  • Work collaboratively with pupils, parents, school staff and the Music Lead to support high‑quality musical outcomes.
