GSL Education Kent are currently recruiting for a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Sittingbourne from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Humanities Teacher or a confident ECT looking to make a positive impact within a welcoming and forward-thinking school community.

The successful Humanities Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across the Humanities curriculum, helping students develop critical thinking skills, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. The school is seeking a Humanities Teacher who can inspire curiosity, encourage academic achievement, and foster a love of learning.

The ideal Humanities Teacher will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge within one or more Humanities disciplines, such as History, Geography, or Religious Education
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • A commitment to supporting student progress and achievement
