We are looking to recruit a Head of Education to cover a period of maternity leave, on a fixed‑term contract. This senior role will suit an applicant with excellent understanding of higher education provision and professional and vocational education training, a good understanding of a professional institute, and experience of line and project management.
Responsibilities- Oversee the RTPI’s education functions and lead and motivate the education team.
- Support the Director of Careers, Education and Planning Aid England across the education remit and collaborate with other teams within the RTPI.
- Act as lead officer for the RTPI’s Education and Lifelong Learning Committee and advocate for the RTPI’s education work internally and externally.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on education strategy within budget.
- Experience of successful multi‑agency and partnership working.
- Experience of managing budgets successfully.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of UK planning systems is particularly helpful.
