OverviewWe are working with a primary school in Homerton, Hackney to fill a Learning Support Assistant role. This is a steady, long‑term, permanent position beginning in September 2026. The role requires a reliable, patient individual who can support pupils with additional needs from day one, working closely with the class teacher to keep pupils settled, focused and engaged.
Responsibilities- Support pupils with SEN, ASD, speech and language needs or EHCP‑linked support.
- Work in classroom, small groups or one‑to‑one sessions depending on pupil need.
- Create calm routines and provide consistent classroom support.
- Support learning without becoming generic cover.
- Previous experience in school, SEN, care, childcare or youth work.
- Calm, steady and reliable approach.
- Strong communication skills with teachers and pupils.
- Patience and ability to work with pupils who need extra time and consistency.
- Pay: £90 – £105 per day.
