Hours:
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. Salary:
Paid to scale according to experience and qualifications.
We are seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Wandsworth. The successful candidate will create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for pupils, delivering the national curriculum with high expectations for achievement and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across core and foundation subjects.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress; adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Manage classroom behaviour, fostering mutual respect and a positive learning culture.
- Contribute to whole‑school initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development programmes.
- Maintain accurate records, attendance, and safeguarding documentation.
- Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in a mainstream primary or secondary setting.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and current educational best practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusion strategies.
- Proficiency in digital learning tools and online platforms.
- Additional certifications (e.g., SEND, ESOL).
