Learning Support Assistant

Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School – Hackney

Full Time Term Time Only, September Start. Up to £120 per day, long‑term role (Temp to Perm).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support across KS3 and KS4.
• Support students with a range of learning and additional needs.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Promote engagement, confidence and independence in learning.
• Work closely with SEN and pastoral teams to support student progress.
• Help implement individual support plans and classroom strategies.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with young people in an educational, care or support setting.
• Confidence working within a secondary school environment.
• A patient, proactive and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
• Experience supporting SEN students is desirable.

Location & Transport – Hackney, East London

• Accessible via Hackney Central and Hackney Downs (Overground).
• Close to Bethnal Green (Central Line).
• Good links via London Fields and Homerton.
• Bus routes with excellent connections into Central and East London.
