KS1/2 SEN Teacher - Hackney
August 24th or September Start | From £160+ per day DOE | Temp to Perm | Full‑Time
A welcoming and well‑resourced Special School in Hackney is seeking an experienced KS1/2 Teacher to join their team from August 24th (or a September start). This is a full‑time, term‑time position following the Jewish academic year, offering a long‑term opportunity with the potential to become permanent.
The school provides a nurturing, structured environment where pupils are supported to develop early communication, pre‑numeracy and pre‑literacy skills. Class sizes are small, the curriculum is highly personalised, and staff work collaboratively to ensure every child makes meaningful progress.
The Role- Teaching across KS1/2 within a specialist setting
- Planning and delivering lessons at pre‑numeracy and pre‑literacy levels, building strong foundations in early learning
- Confidently teaching at Reception‑level ability where needed
- Working closely with support staff, therapists and the wider team
- Creating a calm, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Special Schools or specialist provisions
- Strong understanding of early developmental stages and foundational learning
- Ability to differentiate effectively for pupils with a wide range of needs
- Warm, patient and resilient approach
- From £160+ per day (depending on experience)
- Temp to perm opportunity
- Full‑time, 5 days per week, term‑time only
- Start date:
August 24th or September
