Are you an ambitious and inspiring History teacher ready to lead a thriving department? Do you have the vision, expertise and passion to ensure every student develops a deep understanding of the past and its relevance to the modern world?

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of History to lead and develop our successful History department from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes and a commitment to academic excellence.

As Head of History, you will provide strategic leadership for the subject across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, ensuring a high-quality curriculum, outstanding teaching and learning, and exceptional student achievement. You will inspire both students and colleagues through your passion for history and your commitment to continuous improvement.
