A specialist independent school for children with complex needs and EHCPs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Key Stage 1–2 Teacher to join their expanding team. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supported by teaching assistants and therapists, to deliver high-quality teaching tailored to each child’s individual needs. • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in early literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum areas
• Adapt learning to meet individual needs in line with each pupil’s Pupil Support Plan (PSP)
• Maintain detailed records, observations and assessments to support progress and EHCP processes
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCO and therapy teams
• Integrate therapeutic and individual targets into daily teaching
• Build strong relationships with parents and contribute to a positive, supportive school culture
• Assist with personal care where required
• Support classroom organisation, displays and learning environments
• Participate in meetings, training and INSET to support ongoing professional development
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and all school policies

• QTS and equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching children with special or additional needs
• Experience delivering early literacy and numeracy to pupils with SEN
• Strong understanding of best practice for children with complex needs
• Ability to plan personalised learning and adapt teaching responsively
• Confident communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Warm, caring and professional approach
