Kidbrooke Park Learning Centre (KPLC), based within Kidbrooke Park Primary School, is a specialist provision for primary‑aged children in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. As a short‑term intervention service, KPLC supports children at risk of permanent exclusion, fostering positive educational and social outcomes. Our nurturing environment empowers pupils to develop independence and self‑regulation, helping them confidently manage their emotions and behaviour while building a foundation for lifelong learning.
TEACHINGASSISTANT
32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year – term time plus 5 inset days.
APT & C Scale 2 – Spine point 3/4 – £23,161 actual salary.
Responsibilities- Work closely with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Support pupils in small groups, one‑to‑one settings and the classroom environment.
- Supervise playtimes and lunch breaks.
- From the learning community, promote high expectations, inclusion and help every child overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential.
- Learn about and contribute to creative and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
- Experience working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, flexibility and a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Experience with SEMH and SEN children is an advantage.
