The Senior Safeguarding Officer plays a vital role in strengthening safeguarding practice across Place2
Be, a leading children’s mental health charity. Working closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Safeguarding, you will help ensure the organisation meets its safeguarding responsibilities for children and vulnerable adults by enhancing training, embedding robust policies, and improving systems and practice across staff, volunteers, and partner schools.
This hands‑on and collaborative role combines operational safeguarding oversight, training delivery, and service development, offering the opportunity to influence organisational practice, support multi‑agency working, and contribute to better outcomes for children and young people.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Safeguarding to ensure organisational safeguarding responsibilities for children and vulnerable adults are met
- Enhance training, embed robust policies, and improve systems and practice across staff, volunteers, and partner schools
- Deliver operational safeguarding oversight and training delivery
- Develop services to support multi‑agency working and contribute to better outcomes for children and young people
- Managerial experience in a safeguarding context
- Safeguarding experience within an education setting
This is a maternity cover role from 1 October 2026 to 30 November 2027 (14 months).
