Learning Support Assistant

Grade 4 £ 24,138 - £25,187 per annum

Permanent position

31 hours and 15 minutes per week, Monday to Friday 8:40 am – 3:25 pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.

39 weeks, term‑time only (including 5 training days).

Required:

1 September 2026.

The Learning Support Assistant will work with identified children delivering learning interventions and learning support, and will also offer pastoral support and personal care as required.

• Excellent understanding of how children learn and experience working with children with additional needs.
• Ability to differentiate the curriculum for children with special educational needs and pupils with limited English.
• Good English, mathematics and ICT skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Shows initiative and is a self‑starter.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Can forge positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
• Well‑organised, enthusiastic and motivated.
