Job Summary

Are you looking for your next great opportunity to shape learning and make a real impact? We are recruiting an innovative Lead Clinical Educator to join us. In this role, you will lead the development of high quality, multi professional learning environments for our registered, unregistered (nonmedical) clinical workforce and Allied Health Professionals. You will work closely with key stakeholders and clinical leads to design, deliver and evaluate training programmes, support the monitoring of clinical standards, and help drive forward our Education Strategy.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Ensure there are effective systems/framework/activities in place to secure sustainable developments in education and practice.
  • Support Hospice-wide improvements in patient care outcomes through standardisation of practice across the Hospice.
  • Design, deliver and evaluate education and training packages.
  • Work with minimum supervision and coordinate own and other staffs activities to ensure that efficient service is provided.
  • Be an innovative and creative practitioner to effectively use resources and technologies in our education programmes.
  • When required write and implement Hospice wide/departmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • As a member of the HR and OD team, support the review and development of annual departmental education, training and development plans and ensure they remain relevant and contribute to the department and the organisation as a whole.
  • As a member of the HR and OD team, ensure a process for evidencing the impact of training programmes e.g. competency based framework.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities Main Purpose of the Role
  • This role sits within the HR and OD team and will lead on a portfolio of work to ensure high quality multi professional learning environments within the Hospice for the registered and unregistered (non-medical) clinical workforce.
  • The post holder will work with key stakeholders and liaise with leads to support staff to deliver high-quality services, using evidence-based practice, through the use of education and training and including the setting, monitoring and auditing of clinical standards.
  • The post holder will work closely within the Head of Organisational Development to provide high standard education and training for clinical learners and other staff groups to expand their skills and support their continuing professional development.
  • The role will support the delivery of the Education strategy, including internal and external Education.
